Troubled Teens Sports
On the weekends, we play sports such as baseball, football and other sports
to encourage team play. As part of a structured and disciplined life, our boys
learn how
to be involved in a team effort. Often teen boys want to be loners, or worse
join in on group activities that are destructive. We often do "motivational
runs" to promote group interaction as well as achieve and maintain physical
fitness.
Our team based activities teach healthy interaction so that even play time
at Bethel is a learning and growing experience. Great care is given to train
those responsible for Physical Training to appropriately attend to our teens
exerting themselves exercising in the warm Mississippi climate.
Our Cadets have fun and memorable times at Bethel Academy. We often have activities
on the weekend that promote friendship building and give recreation. The
boys have meals together and enjoy activities. Life is certainly structured and
disciplined at Bethel, but is we realize Cadets are young men that need supervised
free time.
Horseback
riding, fishing and other activities allow the boys to have an outing and
enjoy fellowship with their leadership. The
significance here is supervision with firm yet loving and redemptive discipline
as the boys learn to trust their drill instructors. These beautiful meadows,
hills, lakes and other rustic locations in and around the Bethel Campus
provide a place for the transformation of troubled teens lives.
